Verteilung der Wandschubspannung auf den Lagerflächen

The main goal of the project is to design the layout of the hydrodynamic bearing in a rotational blood pump. The unsealed bearing is flowed through with blood. It will be optimized with respect to bearing forces, durability, maintenance and hemocompatibility. The relevant parameters are obtained from CFD-Simulations of the three-dimensional, unsteady Flow through the slot between rotor and stator.
The tiny dimensions make this a challenging task.
