Introduction
The 6 ECTS module „Wind Turbine Measurement Techniques“ is a newly developed course with the intention of giving students with academic experience in wind energy the chance to deepen their existing knowledge in the topic. The development of the course is funded by the program “Studienreformprojekt” and has been undertaken as a co-work of the “FG Experimentelle Strömungsmechanik” and “FG Fluidsystemdynamik”.
Content
The course gives insight to the experimental analysis of wind turbines. During the semester the students carry out a measurement campaign on a small wind turbine. This includes the preparation of the test stand, the data acquisition and the post processing and data analysis. In order to prepare the students for their master thesis and other scientific assignments, small research tasks are carried out and a scientific paper is authored. For further information please read the module description.
